Transfer Talk: Farewell Sanchez, Hello Cesc & Riera?

- Meet Victor Sanchez: the 21 year old defender-or-midfielder-we're not-quite-clear-on-that, who got his share of call-ups from Barca B-team to senior squad last season, before being made an official first-teamer.

Only, a couple months after signing the bright new contract, the club decides to sell him. Well, we're sure they have their reasons, but we'll miss his cute little face and that hair... and we hope Barca will stop selling all the hot B-teamers. Xavi Torres, Alberto Botia, now Vicky here... next thing you know they'll be towing away Muniesa and Jonathan.

Anyway, little Victor is off to Spanish side Deportivo Xerez, who have just broken into the first division - meaning we'll probably play against him twice this season. Can you feel our eagerness?

- Elsewhere, Pep says Barca still need a signing or two before the summer is out - we're guessing that'd be a left winger and a midfielder? Because the club has been heavily linked to both:

1. Spain/Liverpool winger, Albert Riera. We saw the dude's performance in the Spain-Macedonia friendly and he impressed; this is one signing we're all for.

2. Arsenal midfielder, Cesc Fabregas. The latest is that Arsenal would agree to sell him to us should they lose to Celtic Glascow in their Champions League qualifying match. We don't really see the relevence, but we don't much care; all we have to say is COME ON, CELTIC!!!
