Gossip on the Guys: Dani Lays His Ears Back

We had plenty of goss and beach/poolside photos of such lads as Pique, Puyol, Iniesta, Messi, Eto'o, even Pep during the offseason; but apart from the Confed Cup and the vague knowledge that he was vacationing in Brazil, what was Dani Alves up to this summer?

Well we know one thing: Before returning to start preseason in Barcelona, Dani went and had cosmetic surgery on his ears - and not because of tearage or some such injury caused by his sparkly studs. No, he actually had his ears surgically laid back; possibly because their perpendicularness to his head really annoyed him, probably because it annoyed his wife, Dina.

In any case, we don't like it. Dani's sticky-out ears are/were part of what makes him him, just like those amazing green eyes and his ruler-straight shoulders. Alas, looks like we're going to have to live with this. Sidenote: we hate the baldness on him too. Grow that hair back, Dani-boy!

- Unrelatedness that we are going to include in this post anyway: Barcelona are an orchestra, and Pep Guardiola is their conductor. We've mentioned before how much we love his frantic gesturing from the sidelines of Barca's matches; after seeing this video, they're just all the more funny (in a delighting sort of way).
