Transfer Talk: Barca Going For Cesc

Word has been going round for the past couple of days that Barca are preparing a bid for Cesc Fabregas; they've given up on the now far away prospect of signing Mascherano, and have decided to go for Cesc instead.

Reportedly, Barcelona have contacted Cesc's club, Arsenal, to ask about the player's transfer fee. Arsenal are apparently requesting 45 million, and won't drop lower than 40; while word is that Barca aren't willing to pay more than 30...

We just hope this won't be David Villa all over again. Barca lost their chance with him because they wouldn't go up to Valencia's asking price; and the Arsenal scenario right now isn't looking very different. Cescy would make the most amazing addition to the team, we just hope more than anything that this transfer will come through!
