Random: Appeals, Injuries, More DJing

Barca's medical staff have reported on Titi's injury that he picked up in Madrid: he's torn the posterior cruciate ligament of his right knee, and is expected to be out for at least two more weeks. That's too bad, as it means he'll miss the Copa del Rey final, but we hope he'll be fit again in time for Roma on the twenty-seventh!
.
It's official! Barca will be heading back to the Major League for the 2009 preseason. They'll be playing three teams from the MLS: LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders, and a third team yet to be confirmed. U.S. fans, get your hands on those tickets!

Barca's hot little defender Victor Sanchez has been renewed till 2012. So far this season, Vicky (we're already calling Victor Valdes 'Vic', so we'll just call Sanchez 'Vicky' since he's tinier) has been playing alternately with the first and second teams of Barca; however from now on he'll be an official first teamer, just like Bojan, Busquets, etc.
.
Gerard Pique's at it again. He played DJ again on Barca's flight back from Madrid, with songs by Madonna, Catalan singer Lluís Llach and of course, Queen and Robbie Williams' "We Are The Champions". You can watch the video here of the boys celebrating on the plane. No, we don't know what that stewardess is doing. And yes, Geri's ipod is pink.
.
Pep has spoken in a press conference today, and confirmed that Barca will indeed appeal both Dani's yellow card and Abi's red: "Of course we will appeal the cards of Abidal and Alves. We'll do it out of respect for them. I hope they will be able to play the final, as well as Darren Fletcher who only tried to play the ball so that decision wasn't correct either."

And let's hope the UEFA are more efficient than the Italian Football Association. Next time you think of appealing something to them, you'd better do it eight years in advance... Barca coach Pep Guardiola has finally been absolved of a case he's been battling since 2001, when he played for Italian club Brescia. Pep had been accused of failing tests for nandroline, and served a subsequent four-month ban, and it's not till now that he's finally been cleared of all charges. As if anyone could ever believe Pep, of all people, would be involved with drugs!
.
Samuel Eto'o was at the Formula 1 circuit in Montmeló yesterday, attending the Spanish Grand Prix which takes place in Catalunya, and hung around with some of the racers there, like Robert Kubica and Lewis Hamilton.

Samu also spoke a bit about Pep in a press conference yesterday, revealing that Pep spends hours and sometimes does not sleep in preparation for the matches. Pep's level of devotion is just too hot!
.
Following Barca's match against Chelsea, the Blues' Captain John Terry paid a visit to Barca's dressing room where he congratulated the boys. We absolutley adore the gesture from him, it's just beautiful. And the team thought so too, showing their thanks by chanting Terry's name.
