The Classico is here, and this match is exceedingly decisive. The difference is down to four points, and a loss would mean tightening it to just one. A win, however, would take it back to seven, and really put as at ease...
We're infinitely jittery. Even setting aside how important this is for the Liga, Barca vs Madrid is such a huge thing in itself. It's simply war. The match is sure to be incredible, and we're a nervous wreck waiting for it!
We really hope the boys will play a good match and secure the needed three points. Our last two matches were both away and both draws, but hopefully this'll be different; we've come this far, and we can't let anything stop us now.
Rafa is the only KO for the match, of course, because of the injury he picked up against Chelsea; the rest of the boys are all available, with no bookings or suspensions holding anyone back, and Pep has selected a nineteen man squad to take to Madrid: Valdés, Jorquera, Henry, Xavi, Piqué, Iniesta, Puyol, Caceres, Sylvinho, Bojan, Eto'o, Messi, Hleb, Dani Alves, Abidal, Keita, Gudjohnsen, Yaya Touré, and Sergio Busquets.
An indoor friendly match will take place today between the Barca and Madrid veterans as part of the build up for the match. The team will travel to Madrid tomorrow, after which various press conferences and directors' lunches will take place in the hours leading up to match kickoff.
We hope all goes well!
