Pre-Match Buzz: They Want To Stop Us With Grass

Last night we read that Rubin Kazan's manager had instructed the Russian club's groundskeeper not to trim the grass in the stadium, so that it would slow Barca down. Now, it is quite flattering that other teams feel the need to go to such measures when facing us, but really, it's starting to get a bit old. Sometimes you just wish they would come out and play actual football against us, instead of doing things like changing their team dynamic to play a ten-man defense, though we're not pointing any fingers (coughchelseacough) or something as ridiculous as overgrowing their grass.

And it's been confirmed by Barca's offical sight, as they mentioned that during the team's training session on the Centrainy stadium today, the grass was "a little longer than they are used to." Are they for real?

Well, short as our some of our players may be, we can gauruntee that they won't be getting lost in the grass. We don't think a little extra hight on the turf will be too much of an obstacle, it's the weather that worries us. The pitch was surrounded by snow when the boys trained today, and it's apparent how much the cold is affecting them; they all look like they came out of some ninja movie with their faces bundled up like that. And Puyol is the superman among them, braving the four-degrees-below-zero cold in just shorts and a sweater.
