We all know about the indescribably awesome video Pep prepared and showed to his players just before the Champions League final for motivation, and how it touched the players and gave them the drive to play their hearts out and win... apparently Argentine manager and footie legend Diego Maradona quite liked the idea. So much, that he went on to copy what Pep did.Maradona has reverted to the tactic of putting up posters in his team's dressing room to motivate them, and, before the team walked out to face Columbia yesterday, he showed his players a video compilation of historic moments for the Argentine national team.
The video was probably mostly of him... but perhaps it worked, since Argentina went on to win 1-0. Not the flashiest of scorelines, but it sure beats losing 6-1 to Bolivia.
