As Barca return to take up the toils of Liga clashes, we’re happy to be seeing the boys in action again after this tedious international break, and hoping they won’t be too tired out as they return from their respective duties with their national teams. We’ve got some gaps on the squad, but we trust Pep can find a way around it all.
All in all, this could really turn out to be a great match. For certain it will be memorable for Bojan – should he play – as it will mark his 100th official appearance for Barca, also making him the youngest ever to reach that figure in the club’s history. Leo Messi could also reach his 50th goal under Pep Guardiola tonight.
In a bit of exciting new, centerback Gaby Milito actually played for the first time in what – a year and a half? – for forty five minutes in a friendly against Bolivar. This means he’ll be making his complete comeback soon, we can’t wait! Pep won’t be calling him up just yet however, and with Marquez, Abidal, Yaya and Ibra all out for this match, Pep has included youngsters Fontas and Jonathan Dos Santos to complete the 18-man squad: Valdes, Pinto, Alves, Maxwell, Puyol, Pique, Chygrynskiy, Fontas, Jonathan, Busquets, Keita, Xavi, Iniesta, Jeffren, Pedro, Bojan, Henry, Messi.
