Injury Report: Perfect Timing, Dani-boy

As if last night's result wasn't bad enough, Dani Alves came out of the mtch with a muscle rupture in his right leg that's put him out for an expected three to four weeks. Just what we needed. The injured list stretches on, and of all people it had to be Dani...

There goes our only rightback. That means that from now until Dani's all better, Carles Puyol is going to have to be starting on the right in his place, leaving Pep to choose from Pique, Marquez and Chygrynskiy as his centerbacks. And what with Chygrinskiy not allowed to particpate in the Champions League, Marquez is sure to start those matches alongside Pique, and we all saw how well that turned out yesterday...

Chygrynskiy isn't even back from his own injury yet. So no centerbacks to rotate with? And what happens if Pique or Marquez get injured or suspended for example? Bring on the B-team, right... Or Pep could always try throwing Yaya or Maxwell back in the center. Meh, we just hate injuries. Get well soon Dani-boy!

  1. I found this blog a while ago. I like it. Especially the match reports ..I love you man/women/who ever writes it :) It's spot on, a bit harsh a times and with a sense of humor..maybe that's why I like it soo much.

Although I did not like the fact that you didn't bring up Jarque's death. Sure he was our rival, but he's one us, he's a player who died. And the fact that you didn't have the decency to write anything about the whole event is disrespectful ..you only commented on what the guys were wearing when they were going to the funeral .. which struck me a bit odd. Or maybe you weren't that informed? Which isn't an excuse really. Isn't that your job .. to be informed!?

Like the pic of Bojan taking a ride on his bicycle .. or whatever you wrote .. that was him shooting a commercial for Nike ..you can even see the camera in the background :)

And you also tend to misspell now and then ..

Other then that. Keep it up!

    D.E.F Jarque!

    Cheers.

  2. IIRC, Abidal said he likes to play in the centre of defence like he does for France, so we could possibly have Puyol as the right back, Abidal and Pique in the middle and Maxwell in left back. I think that we have pretty good cover in defense, but, of course, its not the same without Dani.

  3. @ the first comment,

Thanks for your words of support, glad you like what we write! As for Jaruqe, we never meant any disrespect towards him, it's just we don't know him very well and we didn't even know about the funeral. Guess we should have known, but we just saw the pictures of the guys and decided to comment on the *pictures* themselves. As you might notice from reading the comments below that post, we didn't know they were at his funeral. So sorry about that, hope you'll keep reading and enjoying the blog! Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
