Gossip on the Guys: Samu Takes A Dig At Barca

- According to EMD, ex-Barca striker Samuel Eto'o as given an interview to Canal+ in which he lashes out at some of the figures from his former club. The interview won't come out till next Thursday, but leaked statements suggest that when asked which members of the club he's dissapointed in, Samu's reply was something like "Yes, I think if I'd pick two, I'd probably aim at Pep and Joan, but there are many more people who let me down, many more. " He also spoke of "many injustices" and described his departure from the club as very "hard".

We're pretty upset to hear that Samu would talk about Barca that way, after all the memories and history he has with the club. In light of the press conference he's set to give in Barcelona this coming Monday (promoting the "Shoes for Africa " project sponsored by Kiwi shoe brand) where it's expected he'll address some of those criticisms, we'll be waiting with curiosity to hear what he has to say.

  1. i do think eto'o has good reason to point fingers at barca for the way in which (im assuming) reluctantly left barca i also think he has some sort of victim mentality whether or not he has good reason for his emotional 'victim' mentality is another matter.
he was a great star att barcelona and deserves as much credit as messi or any other player there -he did score as many goals as them to.
i still wish him all the best .

  2. I actually agree! I think the Eto'o transfer is one of the most ridiculous ones in Barca's history. You DON'T SWAP one your your best strikers JUST like that. Ppl might agree and disagree if Ibra was worth it. To me, he wasn't ..and the fact that they wanted to have Hleb in the deal as well .. plus all the money .. I just for the life in me can't understand it.

He endured a lot of crap while playing for Barca .. from other fans racists outputs and whatnot .. but he DEFENDED OUR colors with life every time he stepped on the pitch. For me, he is and remains on of the best cule players ..and he knows that we the fans love him. What the management did and did not is a disgrace ..and he shouldn't have been treated that way. So if he lashes out, then fine. I support him in that. Because seriously I still can't put my finger around the whole deal. Way to go Laporta.

I wish Samu all the best. My heart will (as will his I believe) break when he comes back to Camp Nou with Inter colors on his back. Crap! :( I just hope the fans treat him well. He hasn't done anything to US ..this dispute is between him and the club management. My love for him will always remain.

Samuel siempre en el corazon blaugrana!!
